Weekly planning expands to fill whatever time you give it. Boxing it into a single hour forces the decisions that matter and defers the ones that do not.

Begin with assessment: what will students produce by Friday? Work backwards from that artefact and the sequence usually writes itself.

Reserve the final ten minutes for materials. Print, queue and file everything at once rather than scrambling each morning.
